Medical Relief Group Canada Delivers Vital Supplies to Lebanese Hospitals
As part of the efforts of the MRGCA to enhance cooperation with the healthcare sector in Lebanon, a container of Medical Equipment and Supplies was sent to Lebanon in cooperation with the Collaboration Sante Internationale (CSI) in Canada. The container that arrived beginning of August 2024 was distributed among 3 hospitals: Al-Iman Hospital, Rashaya Governmental Hospital, and Shahar Gharbi Governmental Hospital.

To welcome the arrival of the container, MRGCA hosted a reception on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Al-Iman Hospital in the city of Aley. The reception was attended by Mr. Salman Abdul-Khalek, a representative of the group and member of the board, Aley Mayor Mr. Wajdi Murad, Dr. Ayman Baz, Director of Al-Iman Hospital, Dr. Yasser Ammar, Director of Rashaya Governmental Hospital, and Dr. Adel Srayeldeen, Director of Shahar Gharbi Governmental Hospital. Also present were Dr. Ismat Matar, the government commissioner at the Shahar Gharbi Hospital, Dr. Samer Harb, the government commissioner and physician for Rashaya, and Dr. Aflatoun Al-Sayegh, the physician for Aley, along with a crowd of hospital supporters.

Members of the MRGCA Executive Committee Board participated online from Canada, including Mr. Ayman El-Souky (President); Mr. Nabil Chehayeb (Vice President), and Mrs. Mona Khaddaj (Secretary).

This donation is part of a series of medical aid efforts aimed at supporting the tremendous work being done by the healthcare sector in Lebanon under the current circumstances, reflecting the commitment of the Lebanese diaspora to their homeland.
